Mother’s Day doesn’t have to mean a crowded dining room, a long wait, and a prix fixe menu you didn’t really want in the first place.
This year, do it differently.
Head to downtown Fort Morgan and spend the day the way it should feel…easy, local, and genuinely enjoyable.
Start with a slow stroll through downtown’s locally owned shops, where you can find something thoughtful, unexpected, and far more personal than anything last-minute. Then make your way to Kukuro Brewing Co. for a relaxed midday pour. It’s the kind of place where no one rushes you, the atmosphere is easygoing, and the conversation flows as easily as the drinks.
From there, keep the day rolling with a show at the historic Cover Theatre, a small-town classic that turns a simple movie outing into something memorable.
And when it’s time for dessert, there’s only one stop to make: Mosqueda Delicacies. Known and loved by locals, it’s the perfect place to end the day with house-made ice cream, fresh fruit popsicles, or go all in with elote and a banana split if you’re really celebrating right.
Small town. Really good Sunday.

Turn One Great Day Into a Full Summer
If you find yourself wanting more reasons to come back (or stay longer), Fort Morgan’s summer calendar delivers.
Music That Fills the Park
Mark your calendar for Bobstock, returning July 10–11 at Glenn Miller Park. With 20+ bands across five stages, food trucks, a beer garden, and activities for kids, it’s one of the largest free music festivals in the region…and yes, completely free to attend.
Friday night kicks off with Color Me Badd, and Saturday continues with Night Ranger.

A New Summer Tradition: Wranglers Baseball
There’s a new reason to spend your summer evenings outside: the Morgan County Wranglers are stepping onto the field for their inaugural season in the Front Range League.
Opening Day kicks off June 1 at Eddie Underwood Field, bringing collegiate wood bat baseball, and a whole lot of hometown energy, with it. It’s affordable, family-friendly, and the kind of experience you’ll want to say you were part of from the very beginning.

Cool Off, Your Way
When the Colorado sun turns up, Morgan County makes it easy to cool down.
Just outside town, Jackson Lake State Park offers 2,700 acres of warm water, sandy beaches, and space to boat, fish, swim, or simply relax lakeside. It’s consistently ranked among the top park beaches in the country, and once you’re there, it’s easy to see why.
Closer to home, families can enjoy the splash pad at the Fieldhouse or take a dip at Riverside Park Pool when it opens Memorial Day weekend. Whether you’re planning a full lake day or a quick afternoon outing, the options are all right here.

Plan Your Visit
From laid-back Sundays to music-filled weekends and long summer evenings at the ballpark, Fort Morgan offers a different pace, and plenty of reasons to embrace it.
