Morgan County Tourism invites organizations, businesses, and community partners to submit events for inclusion on the official county tourism calendar. The calendar is intended to promote events that attract visitors, highlight local assets, and strengthen Morgan County’s position as a destination for cultural, recreational, and community experiences. All submissions will be reviewed to ensure they meet the event inclusion criteria below.
Event Submission Criteria
Morgan County Tourism maintains a countywide event calendar designed to promote activities that enhance the visitor experience and support the local tourism economy. Event submissions will be reviewed for alignment with the county’s tourism objectives and overall marketing strategy.
To be considered for inclusion, an event must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Demonstrates potential to attract visitors from outside Morgan County or encourage overnight stays
- Showcases Morgan County’s cultural, historical, or recreational assets
- Highlights local food, arts, music, heritage, or outdoor experiences
- Contributes to the county’s identity as a welcoming and vibrant destination
- Is open to the general public and provides a positive reflection of the community
Examples of eligible events include festivals, concerts, heritage celebrations, cultural programs, exhibitions, fairs, and organized recreational events.
Events not eligible for inclusion include, but are not limited to: private functions, political gatherings, religious services, fundraisers, regularly scheduled meetings or classes, retail promotions, and other events determined to be primarily local in nature or outside the scope of tourism promotion.
