The Northern Colorado Astro Society brings out their telescopes at Jackson Lake State Park for an evening of night sky viewing on the eastern plains.

About this Event

Society members share their knowledge while they point toward stars, planets, and galaxies throughout the night at this informal stargazing gathering. Join right as the sun goes down to see what blinks into sight, or come later and catch a glimpse of something new.

Walk up or drive up. The gathering is open to everyone with a valid parks pass. Red lights are encouraged and outdoor lighting should stay off, since it takes time for eyes to adjust to the dark.

Jackson Lake is a certified International Dark Sky Park, one of the darkest skies within easy reach of the Front Range.
