As summer starts to wind down, Morgan County is gearing up for an action-packed August and September with a variety of exciting events. From festivals and markets to live music and local food, there’s something happening almost every day. Here’s a roundup of what to look forward to:

Make the Most of Summer

As we savor the final days of summer, don’t forget to make the most of Fort Morgan’s outdoor attractions. Enjoy fresh, local food, make a splash at Jackson Lake State Park with boating, swimming, and water sports, or rev up your engines at the dirt speedway at I-76. There’s plenty of summer fun to be had before the season officially wraps up!

Brush People’s Market

Experience the vibrant local culture at the Brush People’s Market, happening every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM through September 18th. Located at Library Park on 500 Clayton Street, this midweek event showcases a delightful array of local growers, producers, artisans, crafters, home-based businesses, entertainment, and musicians. Support your community, discover unique items, and enjoy live performances!

Thursday Night Live

The final month of Thursday Night Live is here, and you won’t want to miss it! Head to Glenn Miller Park every Thursday evening for fantastic musical performances and pre-concert activities:

8th Annual Break The Silence Suicide Awareness Festival

On Saturday, September 7, at 11am, join us at Glenn Miller Park, located next to the library in Downtown Fort Morgan, for the 8th Annual Break The Silence Suicide Awareness Festival. This family-friendly event uses music as a powerful platform to address the stigma surrounding mental health and provide valuable resources for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness.

As we celebrate eight years of making a difference, expect some exciting surprises in store! The festival is a FREE all-ages show featuring a memory wall, live music, guest speakers, a silent auction, various merchandise vendors, kids’ games, food vendors, and a beer garden. Don’t miss out on this meaningful and vibrant event!
